How do you identify the parts in your inventory?
I pride myself on accurate identification of the parts I sell. One of the key items to this is a large library of parts catalogs and literature from General Motors, Delco Remy and other suppliers. Learn more about my library.
I need to identify a GM part or be sure a part is correct for my vehicle. Can you help?
Sure, I have helped many with this issue. Please refer to the Part ID Service page for all the details.
Why don’t I see any pricing or photos of the parts on your website?
I have an inventory of more than 6,000 part numbers. Taking and presenting photos and determining pricing up front for all of these items would be a major undertaking. Instead, I do all of this on an “as needed” basis to provide personalized service.
So, how do I purchase a part from you?
First, contact me using the contact form, including all of the part numbers from my inventory that interest you. I will pull these items from stock and give them a thorough visual inspection. I will then send you a description of their condition, photos, and pricing. To proceed with purchase, I will provide you with shipping quotes. After that, you send me payment and I will send you the parts.
Speaking of shipping, how does that work?
I typically use USPS Priority Mail and FedEx Ground services, depending on weight and dimensions. I do not mark up shipping or use it as a profit center. I also take great pride in packaging parts well for shipment. I have never shipped a part that was damaged in transit.
How do I pay you?
Money orders and PayPal work just fine. Due to recent increases in PayPal fees, I ask that my customers pay all related fees for a PayPal transaction.
Either way, I typically ship the parts to you within one business day from receipt of your payment. Checks are an option, but I have a 10-business day hold on shipping upon receipt of your check.
Is your website safe?
I do not accept any credit card payments directly; all processing is handled by PayPal. I never see your credit card information. Any information transferred through my website is through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). That is why you see the green padlock and “Secure” notification next to the address field in your browser. I am a small, one-man operation and will not share or sell your contact information. So, have no fear in visiting my website or making a purchase.
Do you sell parts to enthusiasts outside of the US?
Yes, I have helped many international customers. PayPal payment works well most of the time. US Postal Service International Mail is the only option I have found for shipping out of the US that isn’t atrocious in cost. Also, it is my policy not to falsify customs or other records. Though it may save my customers some money, it is illegal and not worth the risk to my business.
What is your return policy?
Please keep in mind that like most sellers of NOS parts, I am selling all items in “as-is” condition, with no warranties or guarantee of function. I cannot be certain that a part will function as new after many years (or decades!) in storage. This is especially true of electrical parts. I will do all I can to give you an accurate description of a part’s condition after a thorough inspection. That being said, I have only had one concern and no returns requested in 9 years of business and over 2,550 parts sold.
Are these all of the NOS parts you have?
Yes and no. Yes, this is all of the parts I currently have available. No, this isn’t all of the New Old Stock parts I own. I have a storage building chock-full of other parts, but my full-time job and family life takes precedence over the parts business. I will enter these parts into inventory as time allows, so you might check back from time to time. You can also contact me and I can let you know if a needed part comes to light.
Do you have any parts for Fords, Mopars or other makes?
My father was only interested in General Motors cars and parts. We never purchased any Ford, Mopar or other non-GM parts. That being said, we did purchase a great number of Delco shock absorbers that fit all sorts of cars and trucks.
Do you sell any used parts?
I do have a good number of used parts to sell, but it is difficult to list them, compared to New Old Stock parts. Just a few of these items are seats, bumpers, consoles, cylinder heads, steering wheels and Delco radios. Please contact me and I will try to help you with your needs.
Do you have sheet metal in stock?
Due to the large amount of storage required, plus the possibility of damage during transport and storage, we never purchased fenders, doors, hoods, quarter panels and similar parts. I do stock some front end panels, bumpers, and other body parts.
Where are you located?
I live in the greater Kansas City area, in the frequently-mispronounced city of Olathe (oh-LAY-thuh). I don’t have any sort of a storefront, so all transactions are done through the mail.
Where did you get the fantastic images on your website?
Aren’t they cool? I really like advertising from the 1950s. I was allowed to use the images from Plan59.com. They even offer prints which are suitable for framing. Please don’t copy or otherwise use any of the images on this website, as they are copyrighted.
I have another question not listed here. What should I do?
